Just for the Record...

I noticed today that the former WPLX/1170 is now on 1180.  I assume this means that the transmitter is now across the river @ 5 kW daytime.  It's also licensed for a handful of Watts at night; but here in GT I won't here them, considering the nighttime CCI (Cuba, mostly) on 1180.

A quick check of FCC Records shows that the transfer to Pollack has just been consummated.  So, expect a change soon?

They must have been testing. I heard it on once but not since then.

Yes, the station is under program test authority. Just got the proof certified after installation of the phasing gear. The day transmitter is a Continental 316F, a Doherty circuit.....I had to replace a burned interplate inductor and the station is ready for licensing.

The night transmitter is an Energy Onix Pulsar 250. It is used for 26 watts at night and I have it set up to run 200 watts as an aux transmitter in the Critical Hours and Day patterns. This is the transmitter that I was running most of the time during testing of the array. The day transmitter wasnt on much because I worked at the site mostly at night and I did not leave it on unattended in the day. So you were probably hearing WPLX at 200 watts.
