As we approach the Holidays, I believe it is time for a thread to bring up either KFRC or John Mac Flanagan. Let the discussions begin!

OK I'll bite! It's time for CBS to put some local personalities on 1550 KFRC! Enough of this Scott Shannon retread already come on the guy stinks to high heaven. John Mack in the mornings and Bobby Ocean in the afternoons. Let the banter continue! And while we're at it its time to bring back the sixties and early 70's jingles too! So there are you happy now?

I like how you fused them together. I thought it should be a thread about KFRC or John Mac(k) Flanagan. But You tied them together, very clever!!!

Oh, man.....John Mack and Osh deserve soooooo much better than that.

And thankfully, they both know it. No way to wrap brilliant careers.

I think RadioStarOne was probably 'having us on'...but Amen. Michael.  Satisfied now, KIFR?

Perhaps it's tiime for a new thread about the All New Q-102. I hear it's coming.  Featuring Big Bill Lueth and the Morning Zoo; and Dancin' Diane Nicolini in afternoon drive. Though classical music will be replaced by Top 40 hits, they are promising to continue the live San Francisco Symphony broadcasts, which will be heard right after Hoyt Smith's countdown of the Top 5 at 5:00.

I would bite, but I took a vow about the 102.1 replacement!  Cheesy

I thought this part of the board was floundering a litttle and wanted to get some discussions going. And what better topics to get things 'movin' than KFRC or John Mac(k) Flanagan, should have thrown in Bobby Ocean while I was at it.

I wish the KFRC calls had been retired. Each revival...99.7...106.9...1550...has been weaker than the last...
kinda like bringing Ted Kennedy or Ronald Reagan back..."He's only a city councilman now...and...um...he's...well...dead. But he's back in politics!"

Zombie radio. Hey...it's Halloween.

Is it almost time for both KOIT and KBAY to start playing Christmas Music yet?  Maybe soon?
And should KYLD join in this yuletide battle to make it a three station race?

WASSUP YA ALL!!!! IT'S THE WORLD'S MOST LOVEABLE AUTISTIC HAMMERIN' HANK. I MADE CONSTANT APPEARANCES ON ONE OF THE BAY AREA'S HIGHEST RATED MORNING SHOWS, "THE WILD 94.9 DOGHOUSE" FROM AUGUST 1996 UNTIL APRIL 2005 WHEN THE SHOW WAS CANCELLED. I HOPE TO SECURE AN ON-AIR RADIO GIG SOMETIME SOON!

Good ol' 1550am, a cursed dial position for sure! -
It was once known as "Yada-Yada" Talk Radio whose claim to market respect was none other than "Imus in the Morning" before
his fall from radio grace As for John Mc, he endured similar obscurity when he went North in '97 to the totally irrelevant and faltering "Magic 97",
owned then by the hapless and much dysfunctional Amaturo Group ("Amature" was more like it!)
Seldom heard from again was John, after his departure from that ill advised destination. For the record, besides his renown talent as the Lovable Disc-Jokey Extraordinaire, to this day he was also, in my A's fan book, the best "A's Post Game Show" host ever!
