Is there anything on the air now at 87.7 or did they shut the transmitter off all together?

If anyone is interested I thought I would post a link to a station you might like to listen to online.

It runs in Chicago on 92.7/92.5 and 99.9 from 9PM-5AM(central time) 8PM-4AM(eastern time) M-F.
They start an hour earlier on Saturday. It's called Dance Factory Radio, and you can listen live at

 www.dancefactoryfm.com

I hope that helps you out, and I hope you get your station back.

There is "stunting" going on right now on 87.7.  The audio processing from the music sounds very mono but is carrying a stereo signal.  They are playing dance music there until the official launch of Party 87.7.

And Only1Moore...why would I kid?  Grin

Yeah, I am kinda sad that Pulse 87 is gone but at the same time Pulse didn't play the kind of dance music that I like, in particular Orbital, Meat Beat Manifesto, etc.. They were going for stuff that was r&b flavored or freestyle, so I couldn't listen in for long. They never delved deeply into the 90s, when a lot of great dance music was made. I would've liked some specialty shows on the weekends, when you could take some risks.

Listen to Liquid Radio...

And two other good ones are Wjlc-mystery radio and Wmpr,,, they all broadcast occassionally on Short Wave on 6925,,,, sometimes 6950 or 6955 if the default freq is occupied..   They all lean on the more underground stuff...   techno house trance Progressive, breaks, rave classics...

Sad thing is, there are more shortwave radios out there than HD radios. And shortwave stations, even the pirate stations, can cover the whole country.
