While driving through LA today I was scanning the dial and found a station that sounds like it's out of Mexico. Jill FM at 92.7 the ID's kept saying it was heard from HWY 15 to Las Vegas and all of So. California? Is this a pirate station? I heard it for miles all the way from the Valley to Long Beach. Who owns this and is it legit?

Its Legal. although that claim about reaching Vegas is an extreme stretch for being only 690 watts...

I believe it is "The Highway Stations," out of Las Vegas/Barstow...I remember going through Vegas in 2001 and picking up one of those stations on my Walkman...

Jill FM has three  transmitters on 92.7. The main transmitter is located near Thousand Oaks with the call KHJL, Fountain Valley being KJLL and Adelanto being KAJL. KJLL and KAJL are repeaters of KHJL. All together they cover parts of Southern California. Before becoming JILL FM the station use to be 92.7 LITE FM.

The Highway Stations are on 98.1, 98.9 and 99.7 with repeater on 98.3 and booster in Las Vegas. Nowhere close to Jill. Highway actually covers most of the Mojave from Victorville to Vegas and Laughlin.
