I recently got a C.Crane WiFi radio and face the daunting task of selecting a menu of stations from literally thousands of choices. Help me out here. What are the best talk stations in the whole United States of America?

Well.. If you lean to the Right Theres WBAP
if you lean to the left... look elsewhere than Dallas....

Actually.... This could be fun.. Find a Progressive station that gets as
good if not better ratings than WBAP...

for non Political talk... I dont know, Dallas doesnt have that.
Sports talk clearly goes to the Ticket...

TalkRadioX.com is pretty good... Voted in the frontier 50 of talk show hosts

I like KGO 810 from San Francisco, WGN 720 Chicago and WCCO 830 Minneapolis for commercial stations.  As for public radio, KQED and KALW San Francisco are great, as are KUOW Seattle and KPCC Los Angeles.  The west coast seems to have my favorite public radio stations for some reason.

Who cares, I don't listen to talk radio. It's boring.

Yeah, most of the ones around here are are one-trick ponies. That's why I want to hear others that you can't pick up on standard broadcast bands.

I'm going to throw one out simply because it's quirky-different.  That's WFMP-107.1 Coon Rapids-Minneapolis.  They're doing essentially a female oriented lifestyle talk format.  Their slogan is "living life out loud."  Ira would like this, it's what his female talk format would have evolved into if everything went to plan.  Besides all the female hosts, sound like the movie "Fargo."

I caught 'em while vacationing in MSP this summer.
