How many of us predicted that KFWB would end up in the toilet?

And the program director actually though that those Hosts would work in LA?

Funny. I remember when KZON went down here in Phoenix and people started talking with their wishful thinking ways, then BAM! Ratings hit again and KZON beat all the other rhythmics/top 40's in Phoenix!

I think KAMP will be just fine. Just hope they still sound as fun as they did the last time I visited, or better, and that they've advanced a bit when it comes to having good on-airs AND mix shows. They do need some mix shows because without the exclusive remixes or "extra stuff" sprinkled in from time to time, plain ol' hit music all day will begin to get boring after a while. The action and mixes of various tempos are what keep Power 106 fun and interesting.
Oh, I don't hate AMP, I just hate how CBS killed FM Talk! They should've murdered the Wave and put AMP on 94.7, my opinion (no arguments please!)

They are doing well, I don't think they'll add mix shows, because that's what every other top 40/chr/whatever station is doing, I've always thought of KAMP as Jack, except they have DJ's. Maybe it's just me, but I'm tired of hearing mix shows on late nights or weekends with DJ Ice Cold Milk...

I'm biased towards mixes and mixshows because not only am I a dj, but I've always been into mixes since childhood, and this love developed very early all due to the fact that mix shows are where booty bass, house, and electro-freestyle sound live. Without mix shows, I'd be maybe 45% to 49% less interested in top 40 and rhythmic radio and probably would still be much more into alternative, or now what Adult AC stations are playing all day. It would be that all day, then Handel on The Law and Coast to Coast A.M.

I'm so glad we have mixshows because life in the U.S. would suck for me without them. I'm sure I'm the only one in my family who even cares about mixes on the radio.

How was KLAC & KSPN (now the lakers season has begun)?
Great news for KSPN
Bad news for KLAC
I guess people actually listen to the Lakers on the radio

How bad is bad?

BTW, how was Frosty, Heidi and Frank's KABC ratings?

Frank Kramer said on Friday's show that they only have the ratings for their first week at the station and that showed that the ratings were up 187% from the previous comparable period.

The daypart didn't have much to begin with.  Any "up" is up.  Let's see some longevity.  Then, they can brag.

Frosty posted this today on his FB: "Pardon me if I gloat. (And bloat.) But...RATINGS just came in for our 2nd week....that would be for the 1st week of November....and for the first time in 20 years, KABC beat KFI in our mid-day shift. I would like to point out that was only after 10 shows. Frank, Heidi & I want to thank all of YOU for your continued support...we know we have the greatest radio audience ever."

I suspect that they may have increased in some specific demo, but find it hard to believe that the 12+ shows KABC ahead.
