George Burns, Brooke Shields and Burl Ives

He was always good when he turned up in guest roles -- I remember especially his playing a washed-up magician that Harry befriends in an episode of Night Court.

I remember watching an episode of McChale's Navy when I was a little kid.  They were trying to fool everyone into thinking the war was over.  Everyone were in the their civilian clothes.  Gruber appears in a Zoot suit.  I had never seen one before.  I got laughing so hard I got sick.  A great show in its day.

johnny carson must have liked him alot, he was a frequent guest on the tonight show. very funny! and terriffic on mchale's navy.
