What's an AM station selling for these days?

Apparently WXLW was worth $150,000 to Randy Hood of Greenfield.

Odd because when they were an ESPN affiliate, I could barely get a signal in Greenfield.

Seems he is part owner of Pilgrim Broadcasting which already has WFDM.  But his family will own 100% of WXLW.

WXLW seems like a natural to simulcast WFDM. Is that legal?

WXLW is to busy playing 3rd fiddle in the sports talk arena to want to be the simulcast of 3rd fiddle player in the talk market. LOL

Wonder if they have a solid lease on the transmitter site? At one time I heard that was shaky...

When I started in radio in 1967, most broadcast equipment used tube technology, all recorded music was played from records on a turntable by live DJ's, there was no satellite delivery...and radio was fun.

WFDM at one time had better numbers than 93.9 did doing talk. They have some shows that do draw an audience when/if people can pick them up.

Is he related to Gene Hood who already owns WXLW? That price was about $149,995.00 too much.
