3WS, Bob-FM both up, but the big winner is the X now that hockey is back.
Also, Kiss opened a big gap over B94 in one month.... I don't listen to them, so I'm wondering if maybe they did pick up some WAMO listeners, and if that's a result of a change in direction or whether they just played a little more urban than the B in the first place.
The combined Frogs have a higher cume than KDKA or 104.7.
Most everything else was pretty much flat.

The combined Frogs have a higher cume than KDKA or 104.7.
Unless they're showing exclusive cume (and I see no evidence of this), you cannot combine the cume numbers. There is some overlap between the stations, just as, say, WDVE and 3WS are cuming some of the same listeners. C. |

Not arguing with you but just thinking out loud, wouldn't the new technology specifically identify which frequency the listener was tuned to, and as such, would this not be akin to hits on a website? Now I'm sure that it's the same people hitting more than one of their frequencies, but if they were only one stick, wouldn't those hits add up?
I'd appreciate clarification form anyone who is more plugged in than I am as to how the new system works.

In answer to your first post - Kiss has always been more urban than B94. Whether it's actually them leaning toward urban or B leaning away from urban (trying to hold its old audience from the 1980s) is a matter for personal interpretation.  |

PT: Strictly speaking, the PPM is a panel methodology, with a representative sample, and therefore, audience numbers are estimates. Even with this methodology, you cannot add cumulative audience across multiple stations without knowing the amount of cume duplication.
CRS: Kiss has deliberately been more Rhythmic since the beginning (I was there when it happened) and B-94 lost its 1980s audience years ago (certainly with the K-Rock and Zone format changes, if not earlier).
SGITR: Anyone posting those 18-34 or 25-54 rankers would immediately run afoul of Arbitron. I don't believe even the 12+ numbers can be posted on these message boards (as opposed to the "News" or "Ratings" sections).

You're right, posting the actual NUMBERS would be a copyright infringement issue for Arbitron, and would be flagged by the boards monitors. I asked for a RANKER of the top 20 in 25-54 and 18-34. Perfectly legal by ARB and allowed by Radio-Info.com. If you'll check the Dallas board, you'll find both there along with numerous comments for each. There are also frequently other boards doing the same thing. Rodney Ho, from the AJC regularly posts rankers for dayparts and demos on the Atlanta board.
