Recently it was announced that Premiere Networks will not renew its contract with WPTF to carry the Rush Limbaugh Show after January 2010. Does anyone have the scoop 1) What station Rush will move?, and 2) Why did Premeire decide to cancel Rush with 50kw heritage WPTF?

Rush will move to the big FM serving Raleigh that owns Premier.

Rather, it's Clear Channel that owns both Premiere and the new station in question.

Heads up. For the past couple weeks, they're Christmas music, not even Rooster OR country anymore. Word is they're keeping the call letters and frequency though.

They dropped the "Rooster Country" moniker quite some time ago...were calling themselves 106-1 RDU Country.
