I worked WOKO AM back in fall of 1969 and WKDC up on the escarpment...anyone remember the big competitor in Top 40 to WTRY at the time?  My mind is drawing a blank...but the name "Boom Boom Brannigan" is floating around in my mind.

There were some other ones too during this period....1240-WSNY starting in 1968, and WFLY, 1970-1971...
