Just realized that an old piece of audio equipment I have is 30 years old as of Dec 1st. It's a Lloyds AM/FM stereo turntable that was given to me by a friend who's Grandfather had bought it for him. Since he was into high end audio equipment, he thought it was junk, so he waited a month then gave it to me. With the exception of the turntable [which i finally pulled off the top of the cabinet after the direct drive wheel wore out and I couldn't get parts for it anymore] the rest of the radio and lights still work as good as new, maybe a little crackle every now and again from the controls, but too lazy to get a can of cleaner and take care of it. It's about 3rd on the list of radios I use, I just keep it in my bedroom and use it every now and again. I'm sure others out there have even older equipment. I still have somewhere squirreled away an old transistor radio that my grandpa gave to me back in the mid 60s, I can remember falling asleep with it under my pillow as I listened to the hits on WLCY & WSUN back in the day.
