To all:

Most of you have noticed I have returned to the board. The reason why I have left the board is because is for a few reasons;
I had said some things that were distasteful. I accused another small broadcaster of doing something they were not, and finally, the comments were filled by another elder gentleman that has nothing to do all day but cause trouble. He lives in Newberry, SC.

I'm now back and on new medication and feeling better.

I am semi-disable. What this means is that I worked a “Real Job” outside of the radio industry, and I got hurt on the job, physically and mentally. I have three different doctors giving me medication to treat my injuries and the mental effects it has had on me. The people at the “Real Job” didn’t care about me, after 22 years of working there, plus retirement investing, they wanted me gone. I have filed a lawsuit against them. My orthopedic doctor says I may need surgery in my back and right arm, which has some fluid in it.

I do want to make this clear to my fellow broadcast friends. You may like me, or you may not. That is your decision. I speak what is on my mind. The last time I was on this board, my mind wasn’t clear, and I felt the world was after me, and taking away what I and my late father worked so hard for. As far as the big corporate groups, I don’t like what they have done to this business, especially Cumulus.

I have been attacked about my station not playing an “Oldies” format anymore. My station played that format for 13 years, it was getting stale, as the same songs were being played over and over, and since the station is paid for and no debt, I wanted to do something on AM that is not being done around the country with the typical AM station.  I hate that it happen at a time when the Nashville FM Oldies Station changed to Classic Rock, but nobody on here can tell any station group owned or independent owner what to do with their station. Oldies belongs on FM, a strong 50-100 KW, FM channel, and my hope was HD Radio would cure this problem. My little AM doesn't get out that far, so it does me no good to try to compete with Nashville's FM Stations.

So far, since my medication has been changed and my mind is much clear, nobody has put me down. I appreciate that. Winter is coming on and sometimes there is nothing for me to do, so I enjoy reading and posting on this board. Please keep in mind, I may not agree with you, nor you may not agree with me, but I will never put down anybody on the board. You live in the USA, and you have a right to your opinion. Just because I may not agree with you doesn’t mean I don’t like you. You’re a Radio Person, and we all need to stick together!

I promised the Board Moderator that I would follow board policies, and I hope the rest of you will to. If I ever said something in the past to anybody on her that hurt their feelings or mad someone upset, let me upfront apologize.

I like all of you, if we agree or disagree. God Bless all of you!

It had gotten way too dull.  Never thought I'd agree with Romer Roll Eyes

Scott:  I've never encountered a problem of any sort with you, I never took offense to anything you've posted and I always knew where I stood.  We can always disagree without being disagreeable.  Hope all's well.  Smiley

Thanks Gentlemen for the kind words!  We may agree or disagree on topics, but we should all be friends. One can never have too many friends in life.
