WJBR 99.5 is now all Christmas music - I noticed it about 1 pm today.

I heard Paul McCartney and Kenny G. Christmas tunes on the way home.  I would have bet the switch would have been next Monday or on Thanksgiving Day.  Do you think out of market (but still heard in the Philly area) JBR flipping had anything to do with B going today?

So I guess the question is... did WJBR flip early because they read in the Inquirer that B101 was flipping at 3pm?

Anyone else going to flip?  WOGL?  WISX?  WBEN?  WHAT?

I think they did B101 tells you all morning long that Christmas music starts today at 3pm then WJBR does it at 1pm. B101 had everything to do with WJBR going all Christmas music today..

now would be a really good time to flip 94WYSP
to fresh 94.1 and get those b101.1 listeners who dont want x-mas music

CBS tried to launch a new Fresh station in Chicago a couple of years ago when WLIT went Christmas. Did not work. Why?

Because the audience was ready for Christmas music.

B 101 has never been impacted in a negative way any time they have flipped to Christmas.

It is foolish for any station to make a major format flip now because it's only going to get lost in the holiday shuffle.

And besides------WYSP will be WIP-Fm eventually.
