A Change is a Comin'...
« on: November 19, 2009, 08:38:27 PM »

I want to welcome Albanyreporter on the scene...

Back to binizz...

I'm hearing that the B95 morning show isn't drawing enough revenue, and Mr. Bossman isn't happy..Could it be a return of Chuck Taylor? I do miss him on am, but not with Kelly. (No offense Kelly) After 15 years, he deserves back on B95.

Also hearing Fly is heavily considering a one DJ Thomas...Where would they put her? Let's anaylize...The Morning Rush isn't going anywhere. Possibly moving Terry to off air PD. Maybe letting go Marissa? Tanch... or sorry....Taaaaanch..Too strong at nights.

Thoughts?

WROW for sale? No more Jackie and Steve?

We'll see....

Ric Mitchell not drawing enough $$$ for B95, that's hard to believe. Ric is more than a weather and a lottery number reader, he has personality and is a great talent.

Chuck and Diane would be a good morning team somewhere... Kelly sounds good on talk1300, a natural fit.

DJ Thomas would be a perfect fit on FLY92.3 either mid-days or afternoon drive.

Interesting stuff to be sure. I was under the impression that Ric had good numbers in the morning on B95...but who knows? I was always amazed that the Buzz wasn't immediately blown up upon Chuck and Kelly's exit too. I wouldn't be surprised to see 590 purchased by some nut job bible thumpers. They seem to be the only ones with much interest in an AM anymore. I wonder what will become of 930-WIZR for that matter too. Please keep us informed Reporter....

The "Reporter" has never been right once until after something happens. Why would Morrell sell WROW when he could unload other ratings losers in  Glens Falls, or 104.9, or 96.3 and get more money for it? It costs more to run either FM than the AM. Morrell won't sell anything in Albany unless he has to. WIZR is a different story, I'm surprised it hasn't been sold by now.

Regent will beat The Buzz until finally one day they figure it's a loser. That cornball they hired in the morning is clearly a small market yuck-yuck. Corny! He even has that fake yuck yuck morning show smile in all his pictures.

Albany used to be a farm of great variety and talent. Despite how much I despise them for laying me off, I think the Clear Channel station sound the best, are the best programed, and have the best air staff. That'll all change when I get back into the game and clean house.

Well this (employed) "small market cornball yuck yuck" hopes you (unemployed) and I have the chance to meet face to face to chat about ... radio!  Bring an aircheck!  Wink

You're cheap and after a long string of being on the beach you are back at it. You are cheesy. Cornball. Lame.

I appreciate the invitation to talk radio with you but I think the discussion would be more enlightening to have with someone who isn't part of the problem with radio.

Bring an aircheck? And you are???....A radio guru? I hope that your employer Regent has a budget for you, as in hiring a morning team with you..The chances of you surviving the am alone with no team is well...I hope you enjoy the beach. It won't be long.

Bring an aircheck..Wow.

Hey Reporter he wants an aircheck so he can learn to take the lactose out of his cheese. No other PD posts on these boards because they have stations to run and unless they are out of work they do not have the time to be on here. If a PD does post you can bet they are as cornball and small market as Marky.

I'm sick of people that think the cheese is the way to go because it is an insult to those that listen, all three of them. 25,000 watts of sharp cheddar, mornings on Buzz 105.7.

While you are here in Albany I would suggest looking into some classes at HVCC.

The grammar and spelling errors are not impressive.

Your Invited!

Join Buzz 105.7 and me, This Thursday, at the Crossgates Mall, for the official kick off of the Make A Wish

It should be you're, as in "you are"

No doubt he has been wrong about a few, but from what I can see, he simply seems to hear rumors, as we all do, and he uses this forrum to share them with the rest of us, and I give him credit for doing that. By the way, Mark and "Tower"...thanks for bringing some life to this board....We need more of this stuf!!!!
