I am happy and honored to have been asked to be a regular part-timer/fill-in jock on the legendary WCBS-FM in NYC! This has been in the works for a while now, even before and during the time I was so ill a few months back. I told my trusted friends it was coming, and you know who you are. For the rest of you, know that this is sweeter than you could ever imagine, mostly because of the situations I found myself in recently.

So many of my sisters and brothers in traditional radio are out of work at the moment (and some will be by the holiday) that I do not take this new appointment lightly or for granted. These are tough times for all. I just want to be able to communicate with a mass audience again, and thankfully, the folks who run CBS-FM feel the same and allow me to be ME on the radio. That's unusual these days.

So you know, since I was brought aboard just the other day, I will be doing fill-ins for the regular DJs on Thanksgiving from 3-7pm, Black Frijay from 3-7pm, (**new addition) Saturjay from 2-7pm, and Sunjay from 3-7pm. This superseeds anything you may have seen elsewhere. My facebook account is so full, I will attempt to thank each and every poster who has wished me well in this new venture...and my E-mail inbox is exploding from messages from all over the country. I will likely be doing some more work during the Christmas-time as well or whereever they decide to plug me in.

This is a very special radio station.

I will NOT be using my usual jingles just yet, as I'll be on for OTHER people. Station policy. But down the road, I will be able to use my custom made stuff from the old 66 WNNNBC (without those call letters obviously) and some new sounds and surprises.

www.wcbsfm.com is the place to listen anywhere in the world. Or you can listen on the air if you're within range of the Empire State Building.

Thanks for all of your support and prayers during my difficult times of late. Those doors have closed and NEW ones are now opening!!

BE BIG!!!!!

Me, I'll settle to hear the aforementioned "Don't Worry, Be Happy..."

Very late 80s, is that even in their format?  Huh

I've heard them play it, albeit not in regular rotation.

BTW, the thread on Don Geronimo says he will be doing Sunday 3-7 PM... guess there was a change in plans?
