An ad in today's Longview newspaper is promoting Dave Moreland's return to/debut on The Breeze morning show July 15 at 5:30.

There had been an earlier series of TV commercials promoting the air staff lineup but that was during the Waller-Access1 dust up over Rhonda Parsons, and no startup date was then mentioned. The spots only ran for a short time, perhaps just to keep the station and its people positioned in the public mind.

Today's ad on page 7 of the front section seems to set a definite course and timeline, at least for Mofeland's presence on The Breeze.

Heard the station's Noon information block last week.  It contained a limited amount of local news, a sports capsule, weather, and a network-originated business report.  Everything was in capsule form and the sports and weather delivered by Channel 56 people--Danny Elzner and John Adams.  The sports sounded as if it was taken off the audio of the previous night's television sports cast--well done and edited to include a lot of local sports names and hometowns all around East Texas.  At least there's an effort to add another live and local dimension to what the station is doing in the area.
