I don't think I've ever called you a conservative, although I certainly have compared you to Maloney.  You both have an unhealthy obsession with trashing Air America, but at least Maloney gets a little something from Amazon for his efforts.

Now you're offering a medical opinion.  Maybe you're really Mike Newcomb.

If you check, you will see I only used one name at a time.  And it was always obvious who I was.
Again, your obsession seems to be with outing people with whom you disagree, not responding to the substance of their posts.
You seem to have a good deal of time to come here and puff Air America Radio (and occasionally to knock other progressive talk players).  Maybe that's part of your job at AAR.  Jon Sinton read one of those articles about the new word of mouth marketing and how to create buzz online and you got the job.

Hmmm... let's see...

Scribbler = 503 posts
Fred Flintstone = 1087 posts (not including your other names)

Pot, meet kettle.

And Fred, I do know you check the search engines. I do too, and I see a lot of similarities in what you post:

http://news.google.com/news?hl=en&ned=us&q=%22air+america%22&ie=UTF-8&scoring=d
http://blogsearch.google.com/blogsearch?hl=en&q=%22Air+America%22&ie=UTF-8&scoring=d

I'm not criticizing it, but it seems you have a rather unhealthy obsession about something you obviously don't like. Me? I publish a blog about this stuff.

So, I guess 'publishing' a 'blog' about 'this stuff' qualifies as a ...'healthy' obsession?

Isn't that exactly what the hated 'Maloney' does?

It's a news site. And I don't simmer in hatred and spite like Baloney and his ilk. Obsessing over things one hates is what I would call an 'unhealthy obsession'.

At least it's not like I'm spamming message boards with nonsense and flamebait like you.

>>simmer in hatred and spite

sounds like the Mike Malloy board or similar ones. Maloney's board, at least to those on the right,
seems more like Schadenfreude. Taking pleasure in misfortunes of others. When an AAR host gets the
ratings of Rush or Hannity, let me know.

More likely, political talk has peaked and Rush and Hannity will eventually get the ratings of AAR hosts.

I've never met Mike Newcomb or Jon Sinton, although Sinton does sign those big checks I get for my posts on a message board read by a handful of talk radio junkies (gee, I wonder how my checks compare with the ones Fred gets from Jones and WOR?).

Sinton was especially happy about the post in which I said I could only take Randi Rhodes in small doses and usually listened to NPR or Thom Hartmann podcasts instead. As he said in a note with my bonus check, "We only need five minutes to boost our cume, baby!"

BTW, according to the Radio-Info software, I've averaged 0.85 posts per day since December 2004.  That's an average of five and a half posts a week, so I'll have to admit that Fred is correct when he says I spend "a good deal of time" posting here.  I'd say it adds up to about twelve minutes a week (gotta cut down! gotta cut down!).

This thread is too focused on "how" rather than "why" Malloy was canned.  We know that AAR is very reluctant to let anyone go.  Does anybody even remember Liz Winstead?  Why did they decide to go after Malloy with his large following of late night listeners.  Many who've been listening to him since his stint at IE America.  I suspect that he had crossed the line where liberals are not supposed to go.  It's one thing to suggest that 2000 or 2004 election was stolen by the Republicans, but when you start suggesting that Bush had something to do with 9/11 attacks and you give over two hours to a Lyndon Larouche advocate you are crossing the line.  I suspect that this why Malloy was let go.

Look, I liked Malloy, but rarely listened due to commitments that time of night.

But last summer, I tuned in and found him saying he was tired, defeated, hopeless.

I mean, it was just plain sad. The listeners were calling in to cheer him up.

The guy sounded drained and had no energy. If I were AAR management I would have pulled the plug at that moment.

It's a news site.

Ahhh yes.  A 'news site'.

Let's go to your archives and take a little peek @ , say, November 3rd 2004....?

Now, that just screams " News Site "!! Roll Eyes

Of course, every 'credible', objective 'news site' would repost an essay about losing the election 2 days later by none other then that bastion of objective journalism, Micheal Moore titled ' 17 reasons not to slit your wrist now that Bush is president '.

"At least it's not like I'm spamming message boards with nonsense"

Your absolutely right, FI. Calling your blog a 'news site' isn't at all nonsense. Thanks for playing Wink

Thanks for the traffic!  Grin Looks like you've got a lot of useless time on your hands wading through two years of my blog posts.
