Head through the grapevine the Green Bay recently landed a smooth jazz format.

Anybody have the call letters, frequency, website?

I wish them the best of luck...hope they have success, similar to the growing audience of Milwaukee's Smooth Jazz 93.3 WJZI-FM!!

The only one I know of is the Magnum rimshot WAUN 92.7 and it's translators.

I thought this had been on the air for a little while now, but I could be wrong.  Haven't been to The Bay/Door area for quite some time.

Thanks..that's the one.

Green Bay is lucky, as WAUN 92.7 uses the same syndicated programming as the best smooth jazz station I've personally ever heard, WASJ 105.1 FM Panama City Beach FL.

Much better musical programming than Milwaukee's Smooth Jazz 93.3 WJZI-FM.

Well, I've had a chance to listen to WAUN 92.7 for the past 2 days, and the programming is a good as I remember at WASJ 105.1 FM Panama City Beach FL.

It is infinitely better than the overly-commercialized Milwaukee's Smooth Jazz 93.3 WJZI-FM.  WAUN 92.7 has far better variety..I can listen to it all day, and I am constantly amazed at all the new songs I've never heard on Milwaukee's Smooth Jazz 93.3 WJZI-FM.

PD Stan Atkinson and management at Milwaukee's Smooth Jazz 93.3 WJZI-FM should take heed and listen to WAUN 92.7's programming...they would quickly learn that Milwaukee's Smooth Jazz 93.3 WJZI-FM could and should be so much better than it is now with proper programming!!

Attention Vice President/General Manager Bill Hurwitz, President Bill Lynett and PD Stan Atkinson at Milwaukee's Smooth Jazz 93.3 WJZI-FM;

You are doing yourselves a huge disservice if you do not take the time to study the current playlist of WAUN 92.7-FM.  You and you station would be doing your listeners, advertisers, and other stakeholders in Smooth Jazz 93.3 WJZI-FM a huge favor if you could even just mimic the outstanding programming offered by WAUN 92.7-FM.

WAUN 92.7-FM Playlist

I challenge you to break from your longstanding stagnant programming; be daring, be innovative, and be creative, for a change!!

A disenchanted listener (especially after hearing the superiority that is WAUN 92.7-FM).

WAUN's programming is off the bird (satellite). They changed over from Classic Rock earlier this year. I believe its Jones Smooth Jazz since Magnum uses Jones on the vast majority of their stations. Jones does program their formats well however. They have to since more then 1 station in more then 1 market carries it. WBJZ in Berlin ran Jones Smooth Jazz but dumped it for locally programmed CHR back in the spring.

Yes, you are correct again.  Jones Smooth Jazz is the provider of WAUN 92.7-FM's high-quality Smooth Jazz programming.

I know this because when I returned home to Milwaukee from PCB, FL in September '03 after having listened to WASJ 105.1 FM Panama City Beach FL for 2 weeks, I corresponded with the PD of WASJ and he informed me that Jones was the provider of their music.

I then corresponded with then PD Steve Scott at Smooth Jazz 93.3 WJZI-FM regarding WASJ/Jones Smooth Jazz' superior programming, and he essentially said that there was no way he could ever get the blessing to program such variety at WJZI-FM (even though he was all for changing things to make the station sound more like Jones Smooth Jazz).

Such is life in commercial radio I guess..and FWIW, Steve Scott lost his job at WJZI-FM earlier this year.

Just 2 examples of the many outstanding songs featured by Jones Smooth Jazz/WAUN 92.7-FM..

Song - MONTAUK MOON

Vice President/General Manager Bill Hurwitz, President Bill Lynett and PD Stan Atkinson at Milwaukee's Smooth Jazz 93.3 WJZI-FM; please take note, and start programming your station to include the same variety and quality provided by Jones Smooth Jazz ...better  yet, just use Jones Smooth Jazz for all of your programming!!!

We, your listeners, would be eternally grateful.

Yet another example of the many outstanding songs featured by Jones Smooth Jazz/WAUN 92.7-FM..this one a classic smooth jazz hit...just another example of the type of songs Vice President/General Manager Bill Hurwitz, President Bill Lynett and PD Stan Atkinson at Milwaukee's Smooth Jazz 93.3 WJZI-FM don't have the guts, imagination, or creativity to play;

Song - NIGHT VISION
Artist - PIECES OF A DREAM
Album - ACQUAINTED WITH THE NIGHT
