Hey.......I like this KFYI show Crime Beat. I have listened to the show for several weeks and I find it amazing that they are able to get many of the actual victims, witnesses, suspects, investigators and yesterday they even had a psychic. Fascinating!

True, the two guys hosting the show may not be slick pros but they are very good and they obviously have done their homework.

Not often I hear people talking about a radio show.....at my office we talk about sports and tv shows we have watched the night before. Since this Crime Beat Show has gone live the general topic of conversation around our water cooler on Monday morning is about the unsolved murder that was discussed the previous day on KFYI.

I hope that KFYI gives this show a chance in the ratings war.

Is this a paid show?  I ask because it's getting the kind of radio-info exposure only the backers of a paid show can provide!

Maybe I'm wrong, but I've NEVER heard ANYONE talk around a water cooler over what they heard on a weekend talk show!

Speaking of crimes on KFYI, someone might want to go back into the prophet system and pull a spot. It ran sunday, 11/5 at around 9:20 pm. It's a promo for Bruce Jacobs and it says he's on 8-10am. Slight problem had me wondering if there was a lineup change. I listened a little longer and there was another ad for Bruce with the correct time on it.

The Crime Beat was off on 12 November, replaced with Mike Broomhead. For a radio show that hasn't been on very long, it has missed at least two Sundays. I guess I understand since it does a thorough job of going over local crimes and it must be hard to prep for a new show every week and fill up three hours.

Also, according to KFYI.com, the Jim Sharpe Show is still on the air.

Here's the deal. Just look at KFYI's programming and they appear to be going the all syndication route with the exception of several of their primetime drive time hosts. Their weekly schedule has become the same old tired boring rants and raves about how the democrats are going to screw up our country - how un-American Hllary, Kerry et al are - how Nancy Pelosi is wicked.......all the same old tired rants and raves of the conservative talk show hosts.

What KFYI has not yet figured out - is that Arizona is slowly shifting from a red state to a blue state - why? Because of these assine rants and raves from bullys & blowhards like JD Hayworth.

Times change - and people change - yet KFYI is behind instead of in front of the curve - their Nielsen numbers are going to tank in the next six months because their audience has now turned a deaf ear to their lunatic rants.

Even a Jan D'Atri standing in front of a Kinkos has more appeal that most of the inane syndicated programming KFYI is now serving up.

Yeah... I bet KFYI won't even show up AT ALL in the next Nielsen ratings.

They may not show up in the Neilsons, but Nurse Jeff and I bet they'll be #1 in the Hooper!  Grin
