Do you think there will be a return to AOR in Seattle?  That’s what I feel is missing.  An AOR with great personalities?  What do you all think?  Or is this 37 year old just longing for something that’s not going to happen?   Cry

AOR as we knew it in the '70s and '80s has now fragmented into classic rock (KZOK), alternative (KNDD) and active rock (KISW, more or less).  There doesn't seem to be enough of a common denominator in rock to make AOR as we knew it viable anymore, although it was great while it lasted.

Then again, how about an 'MOR'? - oh wait, that would be way too medial...

Yeah the term "album" is alive and well.  Just check out the iTunes music store for proof.  They list their top songs and top albums.  These days "album" has nothing to do with the physical medium.  It's a cohesive collection of songs released that are purposely sequenced.  Obviously they're not always consumed that way but nonetheless...
