Here's the deal. Just look at KFYI's programming and they appear to be going the all syndication route with the exception of several of their primetime drive time hosts. Their weekly schedule has become the same old tired boring rants and raves about how the democrats are going to screw up our country - how un-American Hllary, Kerry et al are - how Nancy Pelosi is wicked.......all the same old tired rants and raves of the conservative talk show hosts.

What KFYI has not yet figured out - is that Arizona is slowly shifting from a red state to a blue state - why? Because of these assine rants and raves from bullys & blowhards like JD Hayworth.

Times change - and people change - yet KFYI is behind instead of in front of the curve - their Nielsen numbers are going to tank in the next six months because their audience has now turned a deaf ear to their lunatic rants.

Even a Jan D'Atri standing in front of a Kinkos has more appeal that most of the inane syndicated programming KFYI is now serving up.

Hey, that's my line about Jan D'Atri!

But other than that, you're wrong about the lineup.  All syndicated?  What are you talking about?  Nineteen weekend hours are live and local, and only eleven of those are the "red meat" you complain about. Of course, if you go back to KFYI c. 2003, the weekend lineup had more estrogen in it than those "breast enhancement tablets" they used to hawk on 104.7.  That didn't work, and the Chickboss responded to requests for more "Bush good liberals suck" programming with some of the current weekend selections. Hate to tell you, but it's been the same old "rants and raves" as you say for nearly 20 years of conservative talk, and people aren't tiring of it yet. Nor does Arizona's alleged transformation to a blue state (don't all states become more liberal as they grow?) mean anything. You need a whole 5 or 6% of the population to be conservative to stay in business.

Another week without the Crime Beat. Mike Broomhead was on. Don't know about 19 November's edition because I was at the Cardinals/Lions game. Did KFYI pull the plug? If so, Crime Beat lasted about as long as The Sexes program with Heidi Foglesong and Chris Parker.
