Wachs going to 99X?
« on: December 06, 2006, 08:25:25 AM »

Ho’s blog via the 99xwatch site has a story about Jenners 'jokingly' wishing he could work with Larry Wachs on a new Morning X show. Is this a trial balloon?

Don't be a chump, dude. That bit sounded about as legitimate as Weapons of Mass Destruction.

A wee bit of an active imagination today, wouldn't you say?

OK, so maybe its wishful thinking, but anything is possible.

Even with XM, I’m still without a morning show. O&A turned out to be a bad replacement for TRG. I can’t continue listening to their zany antics like audio of a vomit contest.

Larry mentions in one of his blogs that he is looking at houses. Looks like he'll be leaving the ATL at some point in the near future I'd guess.

One of the real estate agents on the blog entry you're referring to is based in Virginia/Virginia area.

Sean and company are doing quite well and won't be going anywhere soon.

Deadman, you're obviously friends (or maybe even an employee) of people on that show. As this board's resident O&A/Toucher and Rich flag waver, you cannot possibly think that New Morning X show is good. The cheese and corn just oozes from the speakers. It is literally the Dave St. Dave Show that Toucher, Jimmy, and Leslie used to make fun of.

Yeah, I have to agree. No matter what you think of Larry and Eric, at least they sounded like real human beings, discussing real things.

The New Morning X is much too 'planned out', including the recent squabble between them regarding 'Producer Mark' reading Jenners' email on the air. Leslie would have to be the dumbest 'boss' in history to have let that go, were it to have been real.

Stunt. Bad one.

I'm a fan of Heroes and Mythbusters even though they're very differnt shows.  I think it's possible to be a fan of Opie and Anthony (or in my case Howard Stern) and be a fan of the New Morning X.  They're different shows and should be evaluated as such.  Most of the cheese is conscious and intended to be ironic.

I think that this is a totally fair criticism.  That being said, with each passing week I hear less of the McCoyesque veneer and more of the real personalities.
