Today KFBK announces a new lineup:  Kelly and Amy with news 5-9am, Rush 9-noon, Tom Sullivan noon-3, and Kitty O'Neal with news 3-7p.  Jay Alan is leaving the afternoon slot for a government job, so who is going to be working with Kitty?

Interesting move on KFBK's part.  Starting Tom Sullivan at Noon puts his start time in line with that of KHTK's "Don & Mike Show," which has beaten Sullivan for the last year-plus in the ratings.  It also cuts out the expense of having that midday news show at Noon.

What's gonna happen to Jen Steele? Did her hours get cut? Ken Kohl would not have made this move. BK is moving further and further away from what it is supposed to be. What's next, a 35 minute music sweep?

Sounds similar to what KGO did a few months ago when it got rid of its noon news.  But, how will I get my fill of Tom Sullivan on KCRA-TV's Noon News?

The differece with KGO is that Len Tilliam the attorney advice show at Noon has a huge draw and the listeners are hot to call in.  They even pre-empt the 12:00 p.m. ABC news just for his show.  The GM had thought it through for about six months (before making the change) and decided to make the change as much as it hurt to loose the Noon news.

Len Tilliam can grind on your nerves except if he starts out with a hot topic call one may wind up staying tunned in all the way until Paul Harvey at 12:45 p.m.

As far as KFBK's noon change it does sound like a cost cut measure, however I do not have any inside information.

Can someone who knows more comment on why KFBK dumped their noon news?
