I saw somewhere that WCFB will move to Christmas in the near future (i am 99% positive that it is going out to be at the Cox Television/Cox Radio tower which houses WFTV-DT, WRDQ-DT, WHTQ, and WWKA).

I don't see any pending technical changes for WCFB in the FCC database.

I think that was just a rumor.

Dose any one know how high their AUX antenna is above the ground?

According to
http://beradio.com/news/wcfb_tower_toppled/
WCFB is using the WWKA 92.3/WHTQ 96.5 antenna.  (there's a spare port on the combiner)  FCC DB says that antenna is 454m/1,489' above average terrain.  (in Florida, HAAT and tower height are pretty much the same<grin>...)

It sounds like Cox Radio must have had some kind of disaster plan in effect at the time of this disaster in order for them to have been able restore service in so short of time after the fall of their tower.

Also, they must have had some practical experience here with all the Hurricanes Florida had seen in the last couple of years and this has been no doubt been very helpful in a real word scenario like this.

Also, here is the STA app. they filed with the FCC today:

WCFB has just filed an application with the FCC to move to the WJHM (101.9)/WMGF (107.7)/WOCL (105.9)/WVEN-DT (49) tower in Orange City off of Miller Rd. This site would allow to cover Daytona Beach again.

Scroll down to the last item on the FCC CDBS page for more.
