And, more stations are broadcasting in HD - too bad, there is virtually no consumer interest:

"Only 175 or so AM stations have even licensed AM-HD. For a number of reasons, quite a few have tried it and taken it off the air, or so the anecdotal evidence suggests. Ibiquity no longer reports in its public summaries whether a station is on the air."

...And more mall locations to serve you!

I’ll bet Steve Jobs can hardly wait to put this on his office desk:

“As seen on TV” at over twice the price:

Would you put your $2000 ring in this gadget:
http://www.sharperimage.com/us/en/catalog/product/sku__SI814BLU

And I linked the most “serious” products first:
http://www.sharperimage.com/us/en/catalog/product/sku__HB403BLU

Super Bowl over—baseball will be here before you know it:
http://www.sharperimage.com/us/en/catalog/product/sku__PS115

You could buy TWENTY-FIVE HD radios for the price of this toy:
http://www.sharperimage.com/us/en/catalog/product/sku__ST910

“I command you to turn on the I-BUZZ... Immediately”:
http://www.sharperimage.com/us/en/catalog/product/sku__MR405

Indeed, HD radio is “keeping impressive company” in those isles also:

So when will we see the Sharper Image brand-name on an HD radio... I’m ALWAYS AMUSED by those fine S-I audio products!

And are cell phone activations coming next?  I think I’ll save my audio purchases for the serious media retailer or enthusiast catalog—and I STILL can’t find one that will invest a penny in floor-planning HD radio!

According to the professionals, looks like Sharper Image is just another loser Radio Shack:

"New Radio at Sharper Image More options"

"Consider who is selling the radio.  I've looked at several of their radio offerings in the past, and they seem to all have a lot of glitzy good looks but mediocre performance.  My image of a radio from Sharper Image is that off a wannnabe.  Either a plastic cased cathedral radio lookalike with boomy audio, or a boxy military looking radio with
inexact analog bandspread and shrill audio."  Cheesy

"Sharper Image Poor Customer Service"

"To anybody reading this letter-BEWARE!. The Sharper Image can't help itself. It is a company that just plain LIES! It lies about product availability, shipping dates, and it's pledge of customer service.
I have had two other notices posted on this website over the past week that you can refer to( posted on 9/23 and 9/25)."  Cheesy

Sounds like Radio Shack ?  Cheesy

Another loser association, as with Radio Shack and MSN Direct:

An utterly meaningless distribution deal.  Sharper Image caters to gadget freaks who make up approximately 0% of the mass market which still accounts for the lion's share of the commercial radio audience.

Besides, if I were part of the HD Alliance, this is one company I would have stayed away from.  They just settled a class action suit regarding some products they sold, which can only be described as snake oil (I believe they were "air purifiers" which did nothing of the sort).  Sales dropped by 25% after the settlement, and their CEO was fired.
