Even I didn't proof read my post.....misspelled suppose instead of supposed.

You're right. The trouble with typos here is they stay with you unless you edit the post in time!  The gaffe on KTRH mentioned earlier reminded me of the overly dramatic newscaster I once heard who said, "...the fire was caused by a heat water hotter."  Or the weathercaster who referred to "a cold moving fast front."  Thanks to the internet we can all enjoy priceless flubs like that...

You should hear RB McEntire tell the story of when either he or Jim Carola said something about the upcoming execution of Texas Prison inmate "Carla Fay Tucker!"  Suffice to say, the first letters got all mixed up......

Then there was Janice Dean on KLDE a few years back (yes the same Janice Dean who now does weather on FOX News Channel...)  She was talking about a senator who had defected from the Republicans to the Dems... and instead of Defected... she said Defecated...  I was there in the room which fell completely silent for a moment before she tried to start correcting it and it just kept getting worse.. Funny stuff.

According to the KILT Website he started doing news with H&H on July 4, 1976.  And he's still going strong.  Best story teller in the biz.

RB and that old guy who does morning news on KUHF are the co-deans of Houston radio news, I think.  The KUHF guy also started locally in 1965 and he's worked all over town.  Both of them are from Lufkin too.  What is it about Lufkin that sends so many people to Houston radio?

It's CLOSE! That's why people from Lufkin chose Houston as a radio destination.
