So what is the deal behind Cowboy 1190? Does anyone know why they aren't playing spots, but yet they're paying people to be on the air? Is the station still being leased from Clear Channel by First Broadcasting? When First Broadcasting first took them over, they talked about hiring a sales team and a bunch of other stuff.

If I understand First Broadcasting's Modus Operandi, they don't want to hire people, or even run a station for any amount of time. They simply buy/lease stations, upgrade them, then sell them to the highest bidder. Evidently no one wants the 1190 frequency for a price that First/CC is willing to part with it for.

Apparently 1190 just didn't want to hire YOU. 1190 has hired one of the best GM's in the history of DFW and they just hired Bobby Mitchell for mornings. Hollyood Henderson is PD and aftrernoons. Not a bad line-up so far. But I WILL agree it won't last.
