Radio's the worst job, I ever loved.

Anyone know why KIOL is simulcasting on KFNC?  I thought they might be having technical difficulties this morning during "Mike & Mike", but I noticed this evening they were still simulcasting.  Anyone know what's going on?

KIOL? KFNC , aren't they on  103.7   and 97.5 ?     I live IN the heart  of  Houston, I cant seem to pick those frequencies up.  OH WAIT, thats rim shots (Houston wanna-be's) that cover Beaumont.

It's strange.  They're inconsistant.  This morning, they aired the Top of the Hour Sportscenter at 6am, then it was Walton & Johnson.  This evening, they were simulcasting KIOL on 97.5, but my friend told me about 8:45pm this evening, they were running ESPN GAME NIGHT.  WTF?!  Huh

In light of the new format unveiling in Dallas, "Lonestar 92.5", a mix of a Country and Classic Rock station, Cumulus Houston is attempting to make a hybrid format of Classic Rock and Sports, which they call the "Classic Rock And Play", which is often abbreviated as "CRAP".

 Shocked

newschool, you have my vote for "post of the year".

We don't always agree, but that was right on the money. Nice job.

Since the two stations are feeding from the same location and over the same STLs (digital) it is possible a switcher at the studios got pushed somewhere and the audio for 103.7 got fwd to 97.5!! (and with a sports station, noone probably noticed at the studios if they are listening to 103.7 on the house monitor).....Yeah, it sux but s**t happens....
