I didn't remember to check on them the last time I was near Livingston, but I noticed that KETX 1440 filed notice with the FCC that they had returned to air a few months ago. That came after the station was dogged with technical problems (mainly the transmitter) and the death of the owner. So the question is how are they sounding these days? And what about the FM (92.3)? Is the audio any better at all?
While looking around I found an old post describing the KETX troubles and a few FCC filings from southeast Texas AM's, some of them Houston area move-ins. The applications had some really funny wording, as noted in classic
