MIX DJ MIA...?

Anybody know what the deal was Sunday morning (7/1) on Mix 106.5?  I tuned in about 9:15, heard bumper music into a stopset (about 2 min worth) but no jock.  Then I listened until 10am, and there was no jock at all.  Usually this shift is live, from what I can tell. 

Is there a juicy scoop here or am I making mountains outta mole-hills?

Considering Sunday mornings at 6A isn't exactly a prime shift, I doubt there is a juicy scoop. Maybe the jock got sick, was hung over, didn't show up, whatever. Whatever the reason, its not going to be earth shattering. And its San Jose.

I heard Kim Vestel is going to KEZR and she was learning their system. Then she got spooked and didn't show.

I don't buy that for a second. KEZR is owned by the same company as KBAY and they fired her. They wouldn't ask her back. As far as systems....she worked in that building for years, and knows their system. I smell someone trying to make up some lame rumor to spread. Oops...I forgot what board this was posted on. My mistake.

Please ... you should be ashamed of yourself for even considering posting this.

Kim Vestal is one of the classiest people in radio -- in fact, she's one of the classiest people anywhere, period. What would cause you to create a fiction like this? Anyone whose cr*p detector didn't go off on this one should check their batteries.

If you're going to make up something like this, remember that other people on the board actually might know the person and know that it's a patently false story. Shame on you.

Thank You Bossradio. You said what I said but put it much more eloquently. She is VERY classy. I don't think she would even consider going back to work for a company that dumped on her like like Firstmedia did (is that their name?) At least not this soon.

And to insult her intelligence and say she got spooked and wouldn't take a job because of the kind of system they use? That is a dead give away that this is false. she would learn anything she needed to and would do it very quickly.
