"Maybe Joe Breezy should get the morning gig at KKIQ. He is what I think one of the most talented radio personalities in this market....my two cents!"

Whaaaatt??  I absolutely agree about Breezy being one of the most talented jocks in the market, but morning drive in Pleasanton is not exactly an upward career move.  Have I missed something?  He's still on Wild 94.9, right?

I see Joe as on more of a JoJo Wright type of career trajectory - maybe a drive time job in the Bay Area, then on to LA or another top 3 market.

It's not Dean Goss, Jack Friday, or Faith Alpher. It's some guy whose name escapes me now. Wayne something?

For a station aimed at soccer moms, it seems a bit strange that they're going for an all-male lineup of jocks. But Jim Hampton makes strange decisions.

Jim makes the strange decisions his owners tell him to make.

Then Jim and the Levitt brothers make strange decisions...rather, they make the decisions their consultant tells them to make.

Either way, it doesn't make sense to me why they'd go with an all male lineup for a soccer mom station like KKIQ.

If they hired Wayne Something (whose brother, Gary Something, once worked at a station somewhere, as I recall) then he isn't on the air yet.

Jim Hampton was still doing the morning show this morning.

And if they are going with an all-male lineup, what are you saying about Faith Alpher? Plus, they still have Tricia Ferguson and Kanya Goldman on the weekend shifts.

I think he means an all male "Full-Time" staff.

Yep, that's what I meant. Ferguson is full-time on KKDV, and Faith will go back to being "fill-in Faith" (she's filling in for Hampton - voice-tracked, not live) while he's covering the morning shift. And Wayne whatever his name is hasn't started yet. I heard he'll do a few night shifts in the next couple of weeks to get his feet wet. And the nights are STILL running on auto-pilot since they took Trish Bell off the air and didn't do anything to replace For Lovers Only.

But yeah, all week long, it'll be all guys.

Wayne Coy is the new morning host.

http://www.kkiq.com/showdj.asp?DJID=8214

They must be getting a bargain on Tricia Ferguson - if the KKIQ and KKDV websites are to be believed, she's on the air from 10a-2p on KKIQ and from 3p-7p on KKDV. Cheap, cheap, cheap.

Someone needs to work on that website, too. I know it's a small town station, but the Levitts have money, they should spend a little more on it so it doesn't look so small time.

Cheap, cheap, cheap.

And that, boys and girls, is corporate radio at it's "finest?"

The bottom line determines EVERYTHING.

Nothing further, Your Honor...
