I know how to tweak the Clear Channel station streaming urls and when I try WLKT 104.5 The Cat in Lexington, it connects but it's not the Cat. Instead I'm hearing Bob Marley songs. I want to listen to the Cat very, VERY badly! Does anyone know when they are really going to start streaming or is this a testing mode they are doing? Why am I hearing Bob Marley songs? Here is the url:

i dont think the cat is streaming yet. You can put the beginning part of any clear channel station on a streaming page and get a streaming page for that said station. you can do it for wkrd in louisiville under the WXXA.com after the www. on that

you sneaky, sneaky little boy - you found our fantasy station.... and JUST for you, we're switching the format for the weekend - no more bob marley - we're all smoked out.... now it's onto ALL VIKING DEATH METAL, ALL THE TIME!!!  Good times and great Norsemen!!  enjoy, my children, enjoy.  (and for the curious, the kat isn't REALLY going live online for another week or so... probably by next friday.)

Wow that reminds me of the stunting done before the Kat signed on in the mid 90s.  Monty Python, Wierd Al, and I forget what else.

It is now streaming!! Yay! I listened over 3 hours today. It must have started yesterday as I discovered it last night. Now if only WCDA CD 106-3, WMXL Mix 94.5, WXZZ Z-Rock 103, WBTF 107.9 The Beat, WLTO Hot 102.5, and WGKS 96.9 Kiss FM in that market could stream. Oh well, if not, then I'm planning on a horse ranching trip there anyways in the future sometime. I'm glad this happened sooner than this Friday!

Don't forget about 1580 AM...they are also owned by Clear Channel and haven't started streaming yet either. Actually... I wonder if they ever will - its a spanish station. Oh, about WKQQ, they have increased their transmitter power or something b/c I live like a mile (literally) from the xmtr site (holds the xmtrs for WMXL, WKQQ, and WLAP) and a few weeks ago they started bleeding over WAOL 99.5 FM and WCYO 100.7 FM and they are both like unlistenable on all of my radios now because of the interference! I cant stand it, I like 100.7 The Coyote - they play good music. I could always listen to 99.5 and 100.7 before... without any static or interference at all!

Michael Jordan, Operations Manager Clear Channel Lexington, tells me via email that they are not
planning on streaming 1580 this year. He did not rule out 1580 being streamed next year.

What are Xmtrs? I wonder why WMXL hasn't been streaming again. Hmmm....
