Don't know if it is permanent or not...but Ron Parker is doing nights on CBS-FM in the Big Apple! Hope the radio gods decide that is where you need to stay! Hey...looks just a little impressive on a resume.

I believe that Mr. Parker's former employer should have stayed in the sucker business and never entered the radio business.

How bout that!   Parkers on the air again!   On an OLDIES station in NEW YORK!     The "experts" go down in flames again.   Rumors of his demise were greatly exaggerated.    Rock on Ron!

Bring me a shot glass that says "New York," will you?

That's great for Ron!  And he can even walk down the hall and say hi to Heather Wlaters at Fresh - just like old times at 1900 Post Oak!

Wow... now there's a name I haven't heard in ages. I remember the 93Q years and John Lander & the other ones busting his balls in various ways.

The legendary Paul Christy tells me that Ron is actually doing an on-air audition for the NYC gig.  Its not his yet.   I wish him well if thats where he wants to be.

Ron is a natural for CBS-FM.  And what a great sounding station it is!

Nope -- Fresh and CBS-FM are in two different buildings currently.  I believe I heard something about CBS Radio New York consolidating all of their stations in one building though, but I can't remember when or where I read it or if it's even true.

As far as Ron Parker, he sounds good on CBS-FM, but he isn't doing nights permanently (officially, anyway).  I think Joe Causi has at least Thursday through Saturday nights, and a Monday through Wednesday host has yet to be named.

Ron seems to always have issues hitting the top of the hour on-time, though, and others have complained about it on other places.  Seems he's always 6 or 7 minutes off... don't have a clue why that happens, though.  That's the only negative thing there is about Mr. Parker.  A true talent is where he belongs... on THE radio station - CBS-FM 101.1!
