The format is not solid and done very sloppy.  They are playing stuff that still identifies them as Talkradio 9 fifty!  The morning slot now makes sense you see rob the people of the news all you can then they will go to 740.  Thus no Fox news in morning drive.  HMMMMMMM!  Ktrh has a news wheel then.  How strange.
The legal id sounds really sloppy and the board op if any mis times every top of the hour.    That should be the easiest task of all if your show is on the bird.  Mancow may work in Chicago but Houston not so sure.  He is a great talent but man talk here not so much so.  Well in conclusion CC Houston has effectivly committed murder on the dial 950 KPRC.

I am going to go outside and play in the snow.  It is obvious MoJo is having a effect on me a woman in her mid 20's lonley.  Ohhh excuse me boys!

Truthsayer, you sound like someone who is a pro.  You know the tech stuff, while I an average, avid listener have pretty much the same take.  The programs yesterday left me cold.  I'm told they are not turning their backs on women, but.........I think they have.  I thought months ago they were trying to kill 950 to boost 740.  Does anyone think that's a good take?  Anyway, Truthsayer, can I play outside with you?

Always be careful vacuuming, Nature abhors it.

Yes, it's sloppy. Just like every other format launch outside of NY and LA. It will take 21 days before firming up. It might have six months to prove itself or be chucked onto the "well we tried" stack.

Mancow is a major talent trying to recreate himself for talk radio. He was recently a guest on the Roe Conn Show on WLS AM.
Eric actually leans very conservative in his personal life. The birth of his twins have soften him quite a bit.  I'm waiting to hear him jump ship and try to be the next Sean Hannity. It appears all you have to do is apologize for your former bad ways and all is forgiven.

Enjoy your outside play. It's nice to see the sun again!

I went outside to play in the snow and got burnt.

Dont forget when Talkradio 950 was launched in 2000 they had man talk but it failed.  Ken Charles realized after 9/11/01 it was time to modify.  My guess in six months they will take any listener who will give them 7 minutes.  The format has another huge problem here.  The high volume of immagrants who dont know a lick of English greatly dims the demos.  Most men get a little of it then tire and go elsewhere.  Sounds like a man too me.

I do want to say I like W&J they are class a men who I am afraid have made a 2nd pack with the devil.
I like what they do alot, but it will not work on The 9 5 0.   I was told walton's son worked at The 9 5 0 and was one of the cutbacks.  That's sad a son takes a hit so his father can work.   Makes you think!

After anxiously waiting for the weekend line up, I am disappointed.  Most of the shows I liked and listened to are GONE.  A few do remain however.  Both 950 and 740's weekend schedule has been revised alot.  The whole saturday line up on 950 is changed.  On 950  Mike Mc Connell-gone ( I didn't like him anyway!) but I did like Rusty Humphreys. I was also liking Louis La porte's show.  On sunday I loved Hearsay and catching up on Glenn Beck's show.  I guess since thay dumped him totally, they'd dump his weekend show.  On 740 Chris Tritico-gone, Kim Komando-gone, Bill Handel-gone.  There seems to be lots of financial shows.  I'm kinda bummed and will re-aquaint myself with the shows on the other stations.  Hummmm, I wonder what kind of lineup 1070 has.  I don't think I've ever listened to them on the weekend.

I have been told, what I like is not what "Houston" likes.  I'm wondering if what I don't like is what "houston" wants!  Huh

OK, I tuned in off and on for the last 3 days.  W&J are as horrendous here as they were everywhere else.  There is not one current and former KPRC listener (former listeners are building rapidly I suspect) that would stay tuned into that garbage.  IT'S NOT THEIR DEMO! (age or intellectually).  Unless they spend 6 figures per month for the next 6 months on TV, Billboard and Print advertising to attract new and different listeners, this thing will derail rapidly.  Wait until 1560 signs on with a much better lineup going after the same audience.  As to the rest of my review, I did get a chance to hear Phil Hendrie last night for a few minutes, but as soon as I got home from a late night at work, out of the car and office and no radio listening at home.  He's great, but is lost at night.  Tried to hear some of the afternoon programming, but they had W&J on in place of Baker/Hunt.  Apparantly that show is not ready for air.  BAD MOVE launching without all the pieces.  As I opined in other threads, this Mojo 9-5-0 could become Houston's biggest media train wreck in this market's history.  As someone that buys time for some close friends and clients KPRC is one station that I will never look at as long as they are in this format.  I predict a can of nothing coming in the ratings department in all key demos.  Will this disaster finally end the Michael Berry experience?

I was told walton's son worked at The 9 5 0 and was one of the cutbacks.
I'm sure he could find another gig ringing the bell in a tower or maybe since he's old enough, he could join the military and support the war that his father openly endorsed. Embarrassed
Unless they spend 6 figures per month for the next 6 months on TV, Billboard and Print advertising to attract new and different listeners, this thing will derail rapidly.   This Mojo 9-5-0 could become Houston's biggest media train wreck in this market's history.
CC has so much expertise with train wrecks, they could consult for Bin Laden. Shocked  Not surprised they didn't have all their programming ready, but in the past CC has slipped more launches than NASA. Cheesy
But really, I don't see AM listeners embracing the morning show.  CC loves conservative programming/brainwashing.  I don't think CC Houston cares about ratings or criticism or listeners or shareholders.  As long as w&j and a few select individuals can get syndication fees and they collect their large paychecks, they'll stay until they are removed.  You had Walton's son working at the station too....Geez....
The whole station needs to be purged from the top down.  CC Houston gives the impression of some kind of Louisiana Mafia situation.  Bad hair and all.

So sayeth Rex.
