Both Kiss and WBLS don't know or don't want to take bold moves to be different. I don't mean for that bold move to be rap or hiphop. There are newer forms of R & B that will never be played on FM radio. Why??? Who knows. The artists are signed to major record labels. They just have no interest in pushing them. If Kiss moved towards a NEOSoul format they could target younger upper class Black listeners and probably gain for daily listeners. I'm 28 and am very tired of oldies and oldies or rap and hip hop and right now those are the only choices we get in the biggest city in the country.    Sad

WRKS is awesome!!!

They are brave enough not to play any of that hip hop garbage... (Still after all these years)

They don't play the hip-hop because that isn't their format. Also, WQHT-FM ("Hot 97") is their sister station.

KISS is a rock station in San Antonio. 98.7 Kiss FM in New York is an R&B station.
