Fox 94.5 in Fort Smith

I still don't see Rhythmic AC working in Ft. Smith.  A sure bet in this town would be standards, a "Music of your Life" format. 

1230 AM had standards a while back, but it was only certain times of day, and didn't sound very good.

But, you could always count on KFPW-AM for between a 1.3 and 2.0 share every book without fail, and much better numbers in the older demos. I can guess one of the things that prompted this move is that many times the playlist for ABC's Timeless format and the format for KQBK's oldies would have the same songs in the same hours. What we knew as standards isn't Perry Como and Frank Sinatra anymore... it's the easy listening of the seventies. So I think that is what prompted them to pull the trigger.

I heard Dennis out at the Electric Cowboy the other night on 94.5. I'm guessing they are already getting some club business and have a station to market to advertisers wanting that younger demographic.
