Much improved signal for KGOW into the Cy-Fair area Saturday afternoon, but still seems short of 50kw.  But it appears progress is finally being made.

I would imagine advertisers are going to start bailing if the problems aren't completely resolved in the next few days.  Probably every spot that has run so far will need a makegood.  Ouch.

I was able to pick up KGOW well in Beaumont this afternoon.  It sounded good, what little I heard of it while I was in the car.

Radio's the worst job, I ever loved.

It was a rough signal at FM 1960 and Kuykendall.  However, as I got closer to the West side of town, it improved.

As I drove around Houston on Sunday, the signal was very crisp, clear, no static around the north side of town (North Belt). West side was good too. Far NW, it drops off pretty badly, and at some points around the 610 Loop it drops off significantly as well. BTW, what is that hum in the carrier? I heard that practically all day. Loose connection, or a bad ground maybe?

The signal was definitely better this morning in West U. Driving around the 610 Loop past the Galleria it was good.  On Memorial Drive from the Loop to Chimney Rock is was poor.  From Chimney Rock to Shepherd on I-10 it was spotty, but you could hear it.  There are still some issues apparantly, but it is sharply improved from last week.
