On Aug. 31 the legendary DJ Red Alert ( WWPR ) will begin working at crosstown Emmis urban AC WRKS (98.7 Kiss FM) on Friday nights from 10 p.m.-midnight. Red Alert began working at Kiss FM in 1982 when it was urban and spent 11 years there.DJ Chuck Chillout, another Kiss FM veteran, is returning to the station on Sept. 1 2007 .

Rapking,

I'm a little surprised it's on WRKS-FM as opposed to WQHT.

Will Red Alert and Chuck Chill Out be playing Hip-Hop on a station that's AC/R&B, or will they be mixing R&B Classics?

Thanks,

Rap. I mean they couldn't think of anything else but old rap for Kiss.  Now you see why these radio mega companies are all losing money. I spent 2 hours listening to E-Class (neo soul show on xm) and the artists played you are never going to hear on fm radio. Even though the songs are good. Makes no sense
