wow I know I bitched complaining
now at 7:25 It sounds like a sports station on k-rock like an Hd-Am a station with talk.
doesn't even sound like a game
whats going on?  wheres the music?

You get a cookie.  Jamie, if you even paid attention to the broadcast for about 5 minutes you would have realized it was the Giants pregame, and as much as you listen to K-Rock, you know that it serves as the overflow spill for CBS' sports properties for WFAN.

As it did in its previous incarnation as Free-FM. Just because the format changed, there's still contracts to honor.

k-rock going to be home of the Giants?
Are they going to bring back basketball as well?
I was hoping it was going to be all music. guess we don't get everything in life.

If that's the case, than why do sports often command the some of the highest ad rates on a music station?

WFAN has four major sports properties.

The Mets (1), the Giants (2), the Nets, and the Devils.

The Mets supersede everything else.  Then the Giants.  if the Giants or the Mets are playing at the same time the Nets or the Devils are playing, they get shunted to K-Rock.  It's been like this forever.  This is not new or shocking news.  It happened all the time to Ron and Fez when they were on Free.
