Very interesting thread.  I've no horse in the race...haven't ever heard KEOM, but will tonight when I come into town for the first time in eons.  Robert; you make salient and interesting posts here and I look forward to listening to your station.  TT, don't underestimate the wisdom of experience - sometimes age doesn't translate as outdated.  I'm a veteran of a thousand radio wars, and some things ring true after all these years.

Radio is completely about innovation... and once the powers that be (sitting on their thrones) figure out ways to innovate embracing their listeners like back in the day, what a wonderful world this will be.

...Oh, I actually have only been a janitor in radio stations followed by a respite as an administrative assistant to a promotions director. I only heard people in the john discussing the Telecom Act as they did a little something with the paper they were reading. That's about as "inside" as I ever got in the Fort Knox school of broadcasting hard knocks.
