OK HERE'S THE REAL DEAL:

AL BANDIERO TOOK WKTU FROM 15TH TO THE TOP 3 SPOTS IN HIS TIME SLOT IN RATINGS.
AFTER ALL THAT CLEAR CHANNEL MADE IT VERY CLEAR THAT THEY ARE NOT PAYING MORE MONEY FOR HIM WHEN HIS CONTRACT CAME UP.

THATS ALL FOLKS!

And that is why Clear Channel and KTU suck!  I will never turn them on again.  The went to first in dance to worst in everything overplayed.

The current Rhythmic A/C format of the station sounds a lot like his show all the time.

So Al opted for unemployment rather than his current salary?

I guess Al Bandiero Has already let go from WKTU, because I like his show when he was doing his syndicated dance show called "Al Bandiero's Jammin' Party" on Jammin' 105 a few years ago and so does WBPM's original "Rhythm 94.3" in the Hudson Valley back in 1999 until 2001.

Al Bandiero was a great host for the "Jammin' Party" at one time in syndication. He was formerly at WKBW in Buffalo back in the late 70's, he was also at WQHT's "Hot 103" and then "Hot 97" back in the 80's when he was doing dance music. After that, he went to syndication hosting "American Dance Classics". I remember that show when he was WSPK's K-104 in Poughkeepsie back in the early to mid-90's. He was doing "Jammin' Party" in syndication for a few years and went to KTU for "Studio 54's Clubhouse" until he was let go.

I miss him so much. Al was a great jock, but I hope he will end up on CBS-FM's New York Radio Greats as a guest jock one of these days.

When Mix 1027 was around I liked them better than KTU for classic dance. KTU is not the same station it was back in the 90's. As far as Al on CBSFM I would love to see that too. He would do well on 101.1
