Pardon my asking, but why is Dan Mason getting so much credit for this? It's not like he's the PD or the GM of the New York cluster.

It was his decision to switch the station back to classic hits/oldies.

I guess PD Brian Thomas would be the next Joe McCoy. I remember Joe McCoy when he was PD of CBS-FM a long time ago. I missed him so much, but I hope he should bring it back on Sunday "New York Radio Greats" soon.

Dan Mason is the head of the radio division of CBS.  He made the decision to drop the Jack format at 101.1 FM

Just like he made the decision to drop FREE-FM from 92.3 and make it K-Rock again. Anyways great job CBS-FM. Its nice to see WLTW down in ratings thanks to CBS-FM and Fresh.

Maybe Dan Needs Brian Thos to help him out with his West Coast Oldies outlet, KFRC?

Though it is still too early to suggest future success, the extraps were a welcome sign for CBS-FM.

And, I'm not surprised.

Only if we're having a Brian Thomas conversation in 30 years.
