I know that this article is true. Chuck-FM is a new format playing nothing but country music. This is going to be the first time since New York City does not have a country station, because the last station was back in 1996 when WYNY flipped from country to dance as WKTU at 103.5.
I guess that this was taken from that article about when the format is going to effect September 24th, that's next Monday. And yes, that is a 13-hour promotional stunt for an NBC takeover.
I've never listened to country music in New York City since the WHN and WYNY days. But up in the Hudson Valley north of NYC, WRWD and "The Wolf" plays the same country music, but if it's true, maybe Z-100 should happen sooner or later. Will find out what happens next.
