No way. Middays yes. PM drive yes. Nights no way. He's a good jock but do you really think he's the type to get into the whole text messaging/myspace/youtube thing they supposedly want for nights at PRO-FM? I wonder if he's still doing radio sales in Boston?

Hrm.... when did ProFM move out of the Trail? Says up there on the headlines that he's heading to Boston's 92 Pro-FM.

Now that I could agree with. Sooner or later there has to be a change in afternoon drive at Lite. I think Jefferds does a good job but it's gotta happen whether he decides to leave or they decide to go with someone younger. I always thought Eagan left Coast because they jerked him around and he ended up off air. He went from afternoons to middays to off air then to sales at WKLB. If he were still selling there I would guess he'd wrangle a weekend shift at one of that Boston cluster's stations. So that would make 2 people going from CC to Citadel with Eagan and Jess not to mention Jones landed at Lite.

Explain to me why Charlie has got to go? His show is tight, on point and last I saw he has great numbers. If there is a change, I think it would be Charlie's decision, why take away another fixture at the station when in the last 2 years there has been shakeup on the staff (except for Art).

if ur question is directed at me wknd cause i brought it up in the first place..... i should have said if jefferds retires eagan would be a good fit...... i agree with you as far as charlies numbers and show..... i think if anything were to happen there it would be charlies decision.... mabe eagans just gonna do fill in work for both stations..... im guessin mabe jess got him over there sence they used to work together

Maybe people are looking at the non renewal of Gary DeGraide's contract when they predict the same could happen with Jefferds. Charlie still sounds viable for the format in spite of his age. He hasn't let the direction radio has gone pass him by. Also nothing against Chris but when the time comes to replace Charlie I don't think the station will just go with a good jock. They replaced DeGraide with a "name". Tanya is also a name so to speak although possibly unfamiliar to Lite's audience. Still, she's known in the market. Chris Eagan is not. He did work at B101 and both PM and middays at Coast and sounded good wherever he worked but he doesn't have the name recognition Lite might want to replace Charlie. Of course I'm not sure there are many or any left in the market who have it, so that's another factor but just my 2 cents. Also, Charlie isn't the only person in the market who is out of the target demo for the station he works at.
