Back in the day (late 50's-early 60's), Tony Garrett did the American Airlines Music 'til Dawn on KRLD. The format ran from Jackie Gleason's Orchestra to Beethoven. But when I drove at night, as I frequently did, it was absolutely the best thing on the air. And they reached way out in those days. Tony was an incredible on air personality. I'm sure he is gone now, but I will always remember the opening of his show (11:30P-5:00A) with the sound of the jet taking off and fading into Geason's extended version of "That's All".
