Live 105 morning show host Woody said as of now they will not take CBS deal. He also went on to say that today was the deadline from CBS.

Letting Woody and his boring, noncompelling show go sounds like a good move for CBS....can you say addition by subtraction.

Woody mentioned that he thought KITS would put the Adam Corella show on to replace. Anyone know anything about that? Thanks

I enjoy the Woody Show and am sad to see them go.  for me, it was the perfect mix of talk and music.  it may not be compelling like NPR or KGO but, it was fun and funny.  not everyone wants serious radio.  The Woody show crew seem like everyday people and were very likable.  hope they don't replace them with Adam Carolla like Woody said.

That would sound about right. Since they put Corolla on other stations that Howard Stern vacated. And I'm sure they are just thrilled that he is on KYCY 1550AM. He definately needs an FM outlet here.

*Fascinating

But anyways, remember a few months back Sarah on Alice did the same thing and she ended up staying. But there have been rumors Woody's been wanting to go to LA to play records.

Live should've put Corolla on right after Stern left instead of waiting this long and left the Dog House on Free-FM.

I agree.

Also, I do think Doghouse should have been left on Free FM in SF. However, CBS needed a powerhouse for their Free FM/New York/ WFNY. CBS was just waiting for something silly to happen so they could get rid of the Doghouse. Especially after the hit was put out on Free FMs alike. let say if Doghouse was broadcasting from NY to SF, that means they'd be on like 3-6 a.m. SF time, then Adam Corolla live. The time difference is one of the reasons Opie and Anthony are aired taped. But enough about the past.

I highly doubt Adam Corolla will take over the Live 105 airwaves. His numbers are not good. They do good in the LA market and possibly the Sacramento market. Other than that, CBS gave him a huge pay cut this year from about 3 million to $750,000.

They should put the Doghouse on Live 105. That way whitemenace can keep his job. It was whitemenace anyhow who brought stunts to the Woody show. I don't remember Woody, T-R doing any stunts before whitemenace's arrival.

I'm not surprised CBS and Woody can't work out a deal. The Woody Show has been complaining about the station managment all year long but yet have been bragging about how they're over paid by the company for their show. I wouldn't be surprised if CBS offered them less money then what they're making now and that's why a deal can't be worked out. Woody thinks his show is worth more but it's not. It's pretty much Sarah and No name with a little more ego and attitude and the only reason why it gets any kind of good rating is because there's nothing else out here in San Fransisco.

I wouldn't be surprised if Live 105 puts Adam Carolla on. The show has really improved over time, plus Live can still do the music/talk format they are doing with the Woody show right now. Just do what other stations do, when Adam goes to commerical, play a song, along with the commericals. And as for the "The Adam Corilla show can't get numbers." argument... wouldn't you agree it would be pretty hard to get a good number when your show gets moved to a AM station and no one knows about it? The only way I found out was because I was in the Sacrmento area and a listener from the Bay Area called and mentioned what station the show was on. I've also met a few people who used to listen to the show on Free FM but had no clue the show was moved to a AM station until they heard me listening to it.

Live 105 most likely won't go after the Doghouse...but could you imagine what kind of blow it would be to Woody if Live 105 was able to get the Doghouse? Espically after the Doghouse was able to plug themselves on Woody's show? Besides Woody shouldn't be to worried if he can't reach a deal with Live 105, I'm sure Woody thinks he can land a gig with Krock down in LA. I mean he's been kissing their a*s all year long.
