The answer is: YES. That really matter in these days. A station without a livestream these days missed a lot of listeners who can't listen in offices or when they out of town.

Doubt it. Hot97 Already Evolved from Urban to Rhythmic Early this year.  Billing(The Important #) is Also too high for a filp

The answer is: YES. That really matter in these days. A station without a livestream these days missed a lot of listeners who can't listen in offices or when they out of town.

But... unless a 100% simulcast, the numbers from the stream are not added to the on-air signal and do not help at all.

Simulcast means even the stopsets are 100% identical with the FM signal...

Not really.  Out of town listeners dont count toward ratings anyway....and online listening is not counted in offices since as David already pointed out....streaming (in big markets) is almost always different due to agency spot concerns.

How would Arbitron know the difference if a person puts Hot 97 down in their diary if they don't mention how they heard it?
Online streaming is a great way to get office listeners. FM reception isn't too great in concrete buildings.
