Sweet Jesus Adolph, if you don't like the word ass, turn the station. Tv has a show for you. The 700 Club. Pat Robertson is waiting for your donation.

I would favor having more ass in my life.

All these posts about the FCC, and I'm the only one who thinks to make the obvious joke.  Man, this entire message board needs to lighten up.

why do I get the feeling that a buttload, er, boatload of those complaints came from one of those concentrated campaigns like Don Wildmon's American Family ASSociation...

Your feelings serve you well, young Padawan.

Someone (can't remember who) did a study of all the complaints received by the FCC for the Janet Jackson incident.  The info was requested under the Freedom of Information Act.  The conclusion:  There were THREE people who complained.  That's right.  Three.  Those three sent about 15,000 letters, so the FCC claimed to have been "inundated" with complaints, and apparently couldn't be bothered to actually examine them closely.

If three people have the right to determine what we hear and see on broadcast radio and TV, the First Amendment is riding that slippery slope much faster than we thought.
