Kiss 108 and Mix 985 ignored Mika's sold-out show in Boston Friday night, as he didn't catch on so much last year.  I'm not convinced radio ignoring the show was a good decision--it ended up as a missed opportunity.  The show sold out, and had a huge appeal to an upper-middle-class female teen demo--there were thousands of (screaming) girls at the show.  The reality is that Mika's popularity is picking up due to teen word of mouth.  It doesn't hurt if the songs are good and the performer is...well...incredibly entertaining.

Given the response of a very specific radio-advertiser-friendly demo, relevant Chicago stations may want to discuss this with their promotions department.  The guy is huge worldwide for a reason.

Yes, because his true appeal lays outside the US so far.
